View Article  Three Charged in Monday’s Car Wash Armed Robbery

From the Troy Police Department...

The following suspects were charged in Monday’s Troy Car Wash Robbery that occurred at 1300 W. Maple as follows:

Kelvin Bendaire Bradley, 32, Detroit 

One Count of Armed Robbery; felony, up to life
One Count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony; felony, two years

Martell Dejuan Miller, 22, Detroit

One Count of Armed Robbery; felony, up to life

Willie James Caleb-Reynolds, 23, Detroit

One Count of Armed Robbery; felony, up to life
Accessory After the Fact to a Felony; felony, 5 years

All three were arraigned on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in 52-4 District Court in Troy before the Honorable Judge Michael Martone.  Not guilty pleas were entered on their behalf; all three requested court appointed attorneys.  All were held without bond.  Bradley and Miller went inside the business and robbed the victim, while Caleb-Reynolds drove the get-away car. The exam is set for June 12, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Martone.  Mug shots are attached.

From State Representative Marty Knollenberg...

While the lawmakers at the federal level fight to prohibit trade and investment with countries with known terrorist organizations, state Rep. Marty Knollenberg brought the fight to a statewide level.  Knollenberg announced his intent to require Michigan's publicly funded pension systems to withdraw publicly funded investments from Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.

View Article  Detroit News: Panel Seeks Firefighter Photos for Project

A search committee seeks photos of firefighter-related activities including parties, square dances, picnics and early Troy Daze parades for a pictorial history of the department from 1940 to the present. The project is being done in cooperation with the Troy Historical Society and the Troy Museum, and will be published by Arcadia Press. The public is asked to provide any black-and-white or color photos that depict firefighters, volunteers or auxiliary members.
