Home Depot Lot, 1177 Coolidge, 12/5, 1104 hrs.
Complainant stated he hung his coat in the employee lounge.  His car keys/key fob was inside a pocket.  When he returned later, the pocket lining of his coat was torn out and his keys were gone.  When he checked on his ’06 Ford Fusion that was parked in the lot, it was gone.  07-45743

Breaking and Entries: 

Sweet, 12/5, 1930-0710 hrs.
Complainant stated he shut his garage door last night.  When he came out the morning, the door was open and his snow blower stolen.  No sign of forced entry.  07-45945

Credit, Check, Identity Theft, and other Fraud:

Complainant discovered several unauthorized withdrawals from her account for cash using her debit card number.  Origin appears to be out of Bangkok, Thailand.

Complainant reported a family member took, forged, and cashed two of her personal checks for a total of $200.00

One PPO violation report taken.

A 54 year old male from Berkeley was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana during the course of a traffic stop.  He was cited and released.

Complainant reported an ex-business partner in a computer firm sold equipment to another business for approximately $21,000.00 and retained the profits which is in violation of their partnership agreement; complaint appears to be civil.

Phone Calls/Harassment/Threats: 

Retail Fraud:    

Borders, 460 W. 14 Mile, 12/4, 1409 hrs.
Manager discovered four mp3 players and two children’s talking dictionaries missing from the store.  Investigation revealed three females came into the store, went to the display, removed the security devices from the mp3 players, and placed them in their purses.  They proceeded to multimedia, where the dictionaries are displayed, and two of the suspects appeared to be selecting merchandise while the third looked out.  When the first suspect exited the store, the alarms went off.  By the time employees made their way to the doors, all three were gone.  Total stolen:  $339.94.  Descriptions:  all three female, #1 wearing a tan coat w/fur trim and light colored pants; #2 varsity coat – blue with white sleeves, black sweatshirt, black faded jeans; #3 light colored jacket with dark stripe on chest and a purple sweat suit.  07-45990
