Ever since Alex was a little guy, the Lambert household has celebrated St. Nicholas Day on December 6.

We observe this holiday to celebrate Alex's Russian heritage.  We also hope to reduce (somewhat) the focus on "Santa Claus."  We still talk about Santa, but we always talk about Christmas as the celebration of Christ's birth.  Of course, Alex expected presents this morning.
