Former County Commissioner Will Molnar wrote a letter to the editor of the Oakland Press last week stating that he has decided to switch from the GOP to the Democratic Party.

As a moderate on the political spectrum, I have been troubled by an element within the Republican Party that questions former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's fitness for the presidency because he is a Mormon...

...I also have never felt comfortable with the Republican Party's pro-life stance...

While Molnar is certainly entitled to his opinion, it makes no sense.  I know many Republicans who are pro-choice on abortion yet have decided to stick with our Party.  Also, while some social conservatives have reservations about Romney's religious faith, there are many who believe that his position on the issues is more important.
