I received the following message from Murray Communications...
I would like to thank all the Troy residents who participated in last week’s city election. Troy is Michigan’s Crown Jewel City because of the involvement of our residents, who care deeply about our city and its future.
Those of us elected last Tuesday have a great responsibility. It is up to us to continue to keep up the momentum that we have built up over the past four years.
Troy is known for its sensible and prudent city policies. We have kept taxes low, protected our Triple-A bond rating and provided excellent city services. It is my expectation that the new city council will continue these policies.
But it is up to you as a resident of this great city to stay involved. I encourage you to contact the city council and myself when you see ways we can improve our city. Your participation in city affairs should not begin and end on Election Day.
Finally, thank you for your confidence in my leadership and voting to allow me to serve another four years as your mayor. It is a great honor and I will continue to work diligently on behalf of you, the citizens, and I am very grateful for your support.
Sincerely,
Louise Schilling
Mayor, City of Troy
