Last night I attended the Avondale Youth Assistance Recognition Dinner at the Auburn Hills Community Center. Avondale Youth Assistance offers financial assistance and/or counseling to qualified families, to aid in the strengthening of youth and families by preventing or reducing delinquency, neglect and abuse.

Avondale Youth Assistance Board Chairman John Dalton thanked the City of Troy for its support and invited me to address those in attendance.

The quality of life in Troy and our neighboring communities depends upon the active involvement of volunteers like those who work with Avondale Youth Assistance. Thank you for all you do!
