From the Troy Police Department…

Members of the media are invited to stop by our third annual Shop with a Hero event at Wal-Mart, which is located at 2001 West Maple in Troy.  The event will run from 4:00- 6:00 p.m.  It is co-sponsored by Wal-Mart, Pepsi, Buscemi’s, and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.  Police Officers from Troy and Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Officers, as well as Troy Firefighters will accompany 31 kids as they are given an opportunity to do some holiday shopping for themselves and their families.  The participants have been referred by the school district, as well as Troy People Concerned.  This program provides participants an opportunity to more fully participate in the holiday festivities; an opportunity they may otherwise not be able to enjoy without the generous support of our sponsors.  All of us are excited to be a part of this great event.  The event will feature Santa Claus and a pizza party for participants and families.  Please contact Lt.
