Detroit PD called to advise they arrested a subject driving a ’96 Dodge Caravan that had been stolen from Troy. Their investigation revealed the suspect may have driven a stolen car to Troy and dumped it in an apartment complex lot where the original auto theft occurred. Troy officers located a ’96 Dodge Stratus reported stolen from Detroit in the lot and recovered it. 06-3297

’95 Plymouth Neon stolen from lot. 06-3253
900 block of John R, 1/24-1/25, 1130-1430 hrs.
’04 Chrysler Sebring parked in apartment complex lot had driver’s side door lock punched and ignition broken. Car was not taken. 06-3265
Try Square Design, 215 Indusco Ct., 1/19-1/21, 1200-0600 hrs.
’86 Chevy dump truck, trailer, and Bobcat loader stolen from rear lot. 06-3262
Detroit, 1/24, 0922 hrs.
DPD recovered a ’04 Dodge Ram P/U originally stolen from Troy in their city. Ignition punched; minor damage. 96-2964
Breaking and Entries:
Thrifty Car Rental, 1465 Axtell, 1/24, 1845 hrs.
Complainant reported business was left secured. The next day the rear door was discovered ajar. A small amount of currency was stolen. A W/M, approximately 29 years old, 6-0, 230 was seen on foot near the front door of business after hours, possibly with a set of keys in his hand. He was driving a small compact 4 door. 06-3209

A 28-year-old male complainant reported his apartment in Madison Heights was broken into, his checkbook stolen, and three checks forged and cashed for approximately $1300.00 in total. One was cashed in Troy. His former roommate advised him that the suspects, a 17-year-old female from Ferndale and 19-year-old female from Clinton Twp., told him they had broken into the apartment. Complainant stated shortly after receiving the call from the ex-roommate, the suspects came over and confessed to him. Investigation continues. 06-3320
Complainant reported someone obtained the account number from his debit card and used it to make $65.35 in unauthorized purchases in Florida. Both of his cards are still in his possession. 06-3114

A 21-year-old male from Troy was stopped and arrested for Reckless Driving. A baggie containing 4.5 grams of marijuana was discovered in the car after he was arrested. He was also charged with Possession of Marijuana. 06-3313
Hamman and John R, 1/26, 0032 hrs.
A 25-year-old male from Troy was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license. Approximately 3 grams of marijuana and a marijuana pipe were recovered from his car for which he was also charged. 06-3351

Basement window on residence broken out to gain access; jewelry and cash stolen. 06-3279
Tacoma, 1/23-1/25
While officers were taking above report, another homeowner approached and advised she found her camera case lying on her bed the day before with the camera missing. She suspected someone entered her house via an unlocked door while she was out and stole it. 06-3304
Regents (One block south of above street) 1/25, 0800-1700 hrs.
Rear door wall screen pried and outside pane of double glass in door wall broken. No entry gained. 06-3287
Larcenies:
Office Suite, 1201 W. Long Lake, 1/25, 0745-1300 hrs.
Complainant left her purse in desk drawer in lobby area of office building. She was in and out during the morning hours. She discovered her wallet missing from the purse later in the day. When she contacted her credit card companies, she discovered three fraudulent purchases at stores located in Oakland Mall for approximately $450.00. 06-3261
Kimberly Jewelers, 755 W. Big Beaver, 1/25, 1315-1330 hrs.
Package addressed to jewelry store was stolen from delivery cart that was left in freight elevator while Federal Express employee was making deliveries to other suites. It contained several necklaces. 06-3263
BI, 3221 W. Big Beaver, 1/24-1/25, 1720-0730 hrs.
Laptop stolen from desk drawer of secured office suite. No sign of forced entry. 06-3219
Jiffy Lube, 1760 W. Maple, 1/25, 1830-0800 hrs.
Vending machine located on west side of building broken into; money and pop bottles missing.

Red Roof Inn, 2350 Rochester, 1/25
Complainant called regarding 45-year-old male who has been renting a room for an extended period of time, is significantly behind in rent, and has three dogs in the room. Complainant stated subject was not on the premises at the time and was concerned about welfare of dogs. An Animal Control Officer checked their welfare and determined they were being properly cared for. Eviction procedures were discussed regarding the residency/non-payment issues. 06-3227
Phone Calls/Harassment/Threats:
Complainant reported an employee who was advised he was being laid off, returned to work to pick up his belongings and made threats against his supervisors. 06-3288
Complainant reported a boyfriend she just broke up with made numerous calls, text messages, and left notes on her car. The notes were left at locations other than her house indicating he was following her. No threats were made. 06-3324
Complainant reported receiving phone threats from an ex-boyfriend against whom she just obtained and served a PPO. She advised the suspect during the course of his last call that his continued contact violates the PPO and she was calling the police. He hung up. 06-3292

Woodside, 1/20, 2340 hrs.
Complainant is a pizza delivery person. An order for three pizzas was called in and directed to an address on Woodside. Upon arrival, complainant knocked on the door and subject who answered offered $5.00 as payment. Complainant advised the order was $20.30. Subject stated he’d get some more money and closed the door. Complainant returned to his car to wait, as it was raining. Shortly thereafter he observed the original subject with a second subject standing a distance behind his car. He thought he saw something in the second subject’s hand. The second subject yelled at him to leave the pizzas. He put the pizzas on the ground and fled the area. When officers returned to investigate, they discovered the original address is an unoccupied apartment, undergoing renovations. Subjects described as: #1B/M, 21 years, wearing a white knit cap; #2 B/M, 21 years. 06-2656
Traffic Altercations:
Panera Bread Lot, 268 John R, 11/25, 0840 hrs.
A 19-year-old female complainant from Madison Heights came to the Police Station to report that when she pulled into the lot she observed a black Dodge Durango sitting in the lane, but saw a couple open spaces near the Dodge, so did not think much about pulling into one of them. She stated when she got out of her vehicle, the female driver of the Durango got out and started yelling at her for taking her parking spot. While so doing, she stated the Durango driver grabbed her by the neck. An independent witness provided a similar account. The 41 year old female suspect from Livonia was located and came to the station where she claimed the complainant nearly struck her vehicle when she pulled into the parking space she was going to use. Suspect claimed the complainant started screaming and swearing at her. She denied grabbing the complainant. 06-3221
Rochester near Long Lake, 1/25, 1505 hrs.
A 20-year-old female complainant from Wayne reported that the driver of a light green ’03 Nissan Altima with a Florida license plate used the center left turn lane on S/B Rochester to pass her. Once in front of her, he abruptly stepped on his brakes. She eventually entered the Comerica Bank lot. He followed and pulled up next to her so close that she could not open her door. She stated a tow truck driver who observed the male’s behavior shouted at him to leave her alone. At that point, she stated the subject appeared to drive away so she entered the bank to conduct her business. When she exited, she discovered he was following her again during which time he threw a hard object against the driver’s side door of her car causing damage to the frame. The license plate was traced to a 43-year-old male from Bloomfield Hills. Officers were unable to make contact with the-registered owner as of this writing. 06-3267
OCRC Yard, 1930 Stephenson, 1/24, 0830 hrs.
A 65-year-old male complainant from Troy reported he and 41-year-old male suspect from Waterford drive gravel haulers for same company out of Waterford. Complainant stated suspect cut in front of him in line to unload salt at the yard. Complainant stated after suspect emptied his load of salt, the suspect exited his truck, pulled complainant from his truck, assaulted him, and then drove off. Trucking company contacted and advised of incident. 06-3210

Troy Officers responded to two incidents involving individuals experiencing emotional/psychological difficulties and assisted with transport to the hospital for evaluation/commitment.
Ramsbury, 1/25, 0553 hrs.
Officers responded to Group Home where it was reported a 55-year-old female resident walked away. A search, including the use of a Troy K-9 Unit was conducted. She was eventually found with the assistance of OCSD helicopter after an hour and a half search. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Same subject walked away under similar circumstances on 1/8/06, was found by Troy officers, and returned for medical evaluation. 06-3191
