At 10:30 pm, it looks like all of the precinct results are in. The absentee ballots have not been posted on the City's web site.
Here are the results so far:
CRISTINA BROOMFIELD 4458
RAMZI DALLOO 1096
WADE FLEMING 3981
MARY KERWIN 3104
VICTOR LENIVOV 2348
STEVE REINA 1985
WRITE-IN 31
Even without the absentee ballots, it looks like Broomfield will be re-elected. Unless the absentee results fail to reflect the normal voting patterns, I would guess that Fleming will win the other seat.
The ballot proposals all look like they will pass overwhelmingly.

Don't forget to vote today! If you are voting after work tonight, expect slow lines.
My daughter Jill and I voted at 7:40 this morning. I noticed that voters were spending a lot of time reading the numerous proposals. If you want my input on the election, here's how I voted. Council: Broomfield and Fleming Proposals: Yes on all of them (however, I do not reside in the Royal Oak school district so I couldn't vote on their millage proposal). |
